Antique Stone Restoration in Alnwick Castle

Every year Paul and Regan have visited Alnwick Castle to restore the floors in the public areas – just as they have done since 2014, when they were called in to remove thick black bitumen which had been used as an adhesive many years before.

Houghton-Le-Spring

Clients had moved in last year to their new home, and the floors were a dull, power floated concrete floor, with an aggregate within the concrete. The floor had been polished to a finish, but the floor was lacking any lustre or sealant protection.

Friars Well

It was apparent from a visual inspection that the sandstone floor was in need of some cleaning and restoration. Given the age of the property and the fact the floor had been laid and had received no preventative maintenance in over 20yrs, the floor still retained a good finish in places.

Limestone Restoration

The stone floor was identified as limestone and it had received no maintenance other than household weekly cleaning in several years.
