Cemented in Stone
Paul and his team will prepare the existing surface, and then carry out a multilayered trowel application (with drying and sanding periods). You can pick your own perfect sealer - choose a matte, mid- or high-shine finish. The whole process usually takes around three-five days.
Restoration is another key part of their business - and often this means that Paul and Regan need to offer a continued service to customers who have had floors installed, returning occasionally over the years to restore the floor to its original condition.
Over the course of more than two decades, Paul Coyle has established a reputation as the go-to for fine flooring projects.
Over the course of more than two decades, Paul Coyle has established
a reputation as the go-to for fine flooring projects. Along with his son Regan, their portfolio runs from full stone floor restoration projects on which are hundreds of years old, to the supply and fit of brand new, modern flooring.
The polished concrete look has been growing in popularity in recent years, and can now be found on both floors and walls in many restaurants, offices and homes. In line with this trend, Paul Coyle can now offer microcement walls and flooring.
Microcement (also known as micro topping or micro screed) is perfect for the renovation of old concrete, or can be used to finish the existing surface of new build construction.
There are endless possibilities to achieve a stunning yet subtle look. As well as floors, microcement can be applied to vertical surfaces including walls, staircase, landings, bars and counters. It's suitable for application over underfloor heating systems, timber structures and
aised access flooring.
A typical restoration takes around three days, and involves carrying out repairs (which can include cracks, chips or stone replacement), then a deep clean (including the grout lines), and finally a full diamond polish (or whatever finish the client chooses).
They can also apply high-tech coatings including anti-slip coatings), carry out stain removal, sealing grinding and resurfacing.
